City Hall/Courthouse bells play holiday songs, lighting project completed

WHAT: The Minneapolis City Hall/Hennepin County Courthouse tower bells will play a program of holiday songs, including popular tunes and traditional carols.

WHEN: 4:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 22

WHERE: Outside of Minneapolis City Hall, 350 S. Fifth St.

The bells can be heard over a large area of downtown. Good listening spots are the Federal Courthouse and Hennepin County Government Center plazas.

An exterior lighting project has also been completed that adds subtle architectural lighting to the Fourth and Fifth Street towers and entrances, complementing the backlit clock and robust Richardsonian Romanesque style of the building.
